We are dedicated to providing long-term solutions and permanent recovery, not just momentary relief. We take pride in seeing our discharged patients free from pain and go on to achieve new heights in athletic excellence.

Founded by our chief physiotherapist who is also a former professional athlete, we have deep expertise across various sports injuries and treating them in the least invasive way possible.

Our chief physiotherapist, Jun Whei

A former professional athlete himself, Jun Whei’s sports career ended when he injured his knee terribly, and his doctor at the time told him that he only had 5 more years to walk. That became his motivation to study physiotherapy. In university, he fully treated himself by applying what he learnt in his physiotherapy degree. Today, Jun Whei remains active in sports, and he could walk and do sports perfectly fine!

Qualifications and experiences

Jun Whei holds a Bachelor of Science (1st Class Hons) in Physical Therapy from INTI University. Before founding My Athletes Physio, he had experience treating military personnel, professional athletes, labour-intensive workers, physically active office workers, and even neurological patients such as stroke patients.

Treatment philosophy

Jun Whei’s treatment philosophy is about diving into the details by getting down to the root cause of the problem. As the physiotherapist for the National Rugby team, he often analyses injuries by running with athletes on the field and getting tackled to the ground by them, sometimes suffering minor injuries in the process. He enjoys being active in his job and the thrill of the process.

Jun Whei believes in using the least invasive treatment method possible, having successfully treated patients with rotator cuff tears, meniscus tears & ACL tears without the need for surgery.
